What a drag…snap shot images of the hottoys X’mas gift is revealed in HK toys forum…It’s a new true type body with even better body and face scuplt. Nonetheless, it’s a sincere gift…am definitely anxiously waiting for this x’mas gift from Hottoys.

got my medicom RAH DX Agito yesterday, overall it’s no surprise for me cos’ been seeing a lot of toy forum reviews and many collectors has blog about it. Box is the standard illustration as usual. (think i am losing confidence in medi product)

Sideshow 12inch Darth Vader in Episode IV "A New Hope"

Sideshow finally did a decent job on their 12inch Star Wars series, the new Darth Vader look menacing and really imposing as a sith lord. The joints on the body is firm and tight. If you are going to compare it to the medicom version, it’s like father and son.

Darth Vader is the central antagonist in George Lucas’ first three Star Wars films and Revenge of the Sith, voiced by James Earl Jones and portrayed physically by David Prowse in the original Star Wars trilogy and Hayden Christensen in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Vader is one of the most iconic villains, and was listed as the third greatest movie villain on the American Film Institute list “AFI’s 100 Years… 100 Heroes and Villains”

The original trilogy depicts Darth Vader as a fearsome cyborg and Sith Lord who serves at the right hand of Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid), leading the brutal Galactic Empire as supreme commander, in oppressing the galaxy and hunting down the Rebel Alliance. The prequel trilogy depicts him as Anakin Skywalker, a slave boy who becomes a heroic Jedi Knight and hero of the Clone Wars.

He then falls to the “dark side” of the mystical Force after Palpatine manipulates him into betraying the Jedi and destroying the Galactic Republic.

In Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, the series’ final chronological installment, Vader redeems himself by killing Emperor Palpatine and saving his son Luke’s life, sacrificing himself in the process. He is later seen at the party on Endor as Anakin.

Enterbay 12inch Bruce Lee is KATO (Green Hornet)

On June 4, 2008 Sony Pictures announced plans that they are going ahead with plans for a feature film of “The Green Hornet”. Set to be released on June 25th, 2010, the film is to star Seth Rogen, who will take on writing duties along with Superbad co-writer Evan Goldberg. Stephen Chow had originally signed on to play Kato, but then dropped out.

Due to creative differences, Chow is not going to direct. According to the Associated Press and WENN[clarification needed], Chow wanted to direct a superhero spoof with Jack Black in the lead role. It has been announced that Columbia Pictures is in talks with Michel Gondry to direct the film.

Kato was Britt Reid’s valet, who doubled as The Green Hornet’s unnamed, masked driver and sidekick to help him in his vigilante adventures, disguised as the activities of a racketeer and his chauffeur/bodyguard/enforcer.

According to the storyline, years before the events depicted in the series, Britt Reid had saved Kato’s life while travelling in the Far East. Depending on the version of the story, this prompted Kato to become Reid’s assistant or friend.

The Green Hornet’s success in Hong Kong, where it was popularly known as The Kato Show, led to Lee starring in the feature films that would make him a pop culture icon.

Hottoys 12inch Predator – Major Alan Dutch Schaefer (Arnold Schwarzenegger)

Major Alan “Dutch” Schaefer (Arnold Schwarzenegger), the leader of the team and the protagonist of the “Predator” movie.

Dutch is an elite veteran. He and Dillon served together in Vietnam during the Battle of Huế. He is sent on a mission in Val Verde, under the belief that presidential cabinet members of Guatemala were kidnapped by guerrilla forces. After attacking the guerrilla’s post, they discover that the men were actually CIA agents.

It is also known that Dutch and his team fought in Afghanistan for a time as stated by Poncho.

After the Predator kills all of Dutch’s team and Dillon, and with Anna being rescued, he is the only man left in the jungle with the Predator.

Using a knife and vines to fashion primitive weapons and traps including a spear (with the knife as the blade), and a bow with an explosive-tipped arrow made from a 40mm grenade, he covers his body in mud after discovering the Predator sees through infrared, essentially making him invisible.

Though the Predator falls victim to a number of Dutch’s traps, they fail to kill. Eventually, the Predator catches him and the two fight hand to hand. Despite his impressive physique, Dutch is no match for the Predator, only surviving when he manages to lure it into a trap where it is nearly crushed by a log.

The beaten Predator then activated a self-destruct device for its suicide and to kill Dutch, but Dutch is rescued by the rescue helicopter that saved Anna.

Hottoys 14inch predator

Predator is a 1987 science fiction, action and horror film directed by John McTiernan, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Jesse Ventura, and Kevin Peter Hall. The story follows an elite team on a mission to rescue hostages from a guerrilla group in Central America. Unknowingly, the group is hunted by an extraterrestrial lifeform. Reaction to the film was generally favorable, and the film grossed US$60 million in the United States.

Not mush accessories though but it’s the 1st classic predator…so don’t expect too much.

This is so far the best predator for me and Hottoys does meet the collector’s expectation

predator camo themselves in stealth mode during battle…but sorry har…if i shoot them in that mode i think you guys can’t sees it :P

too bad hottoy’s 12inch billy can’t make it, the face sculpt is too “animated”, but this predator just wants his skull as trophy, which is good for me as well :)

Finally arrived today, 14″ high fully poseable Predator collectible figure from the 1st Predator movie…manz..this damn swee…(news detail can be found in my previous post here)

Hottoy’s packaging design is getting better and better

it comes with a extra hosting cover which is hard plastic and pattern embossed just like the movie when predator is in stealth mode.

when you take out your figure to play and noticed that the lights doesn’t work..don’t panic..the batteries is inside the instruction sheet which you will have to put it in the figure manually.

really, what can i say? the sculpt and paint job is really good (as in shiok) definitely a MUST-BUY for Predator fans!!

Plus, a special surprise that this little kurbrick of Darth Vader (ep3) arrived as well and it was quite detail.

Quick Snapshot – Medicom 12inch DX Kuuga

Just pickup today, Kuuga is my personal favorite Kamen Rider after Black RX.
Kamen Rider series stopped for several years and Kuuga actually revives the KM trend back on tv. The lead actor was also the most popular actor among the others.

Bio as follows:
Kamen Rider Kuuga (仮面ライダークウガ Kamen Raidā Kūga, Masked Rider Kuuga) is a Japanese tokusatsu television series.

Being the tenth installment in the popular Kamen Rider Series of tokusatsu shows. It was a joint collaboration between Ishimori Productions and Toei, and was shown on TV Asahi from January 30, 2000 to January 21, 2001.

Kamen Rider Kuuga is the first Kamen Rider Series to be broadcast in widescreen format.

The catchphrase for the series is "A New Hero, A New Legend".
